JAN VINCENT KLEINE
Jan Vincent Kleine is an adventure, expedition & documentary photographer and filmmaker. He works on personal projects and on assignments for clients and NGOs. He is a speaker, lectures on photography and film and teaches workshops in groups as well as on an individual basis.
After graduating Economics, Vincent has been working in photography and film for clients ranging from the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar Research to Mercedes-Benz. And with many of the greatest outdoor athletes of our times like Alex Honnold, Magnus Midtbø, Alex Huber or Reinhold Messner to name just a few.
Vincent is drawn to understand and photograph humans living in or exposing themselves to remote or challenging environments. His work regularly takes him to some of the wildest places of the world. In steep and exposed walls and difficult to reach areas he photographs the biggest names in outdoor sports and expeditions – from the Negev desert to the Brazilian jungle. From the Eiger Northface to remote Kashmere.
In 2016 Vincent was invited to join the Red Bull Photography team as best international newcomer. Interviews about his work have appeared in various international magazines.
In 2019 Vincent embarked on a 3 year trip from Patagonia to Canada with his partner at the time in their 4x4 that was also their home.
In 2024, accompanied by his sled dog Trojka, Vincent has embarked on his current project: A multi-year crossing of Norway from the southernmost to the northernmost point. By ski, packraft, on foot and by bike – entirely human powered and throughout all seasons. With the goal to experience a profound sense of connection with nature, scenery, seasons and people and to photograph meaningful projects along the way. His dog and he will likely finish the journey in the fall of 2025 with an estimated covered distance of 6.500 km.
